The “Seahorse Film Festival” is a brand new festival coming to Newcastle, Australia in October 2024. The festival has two categories; Local High School Category and the Open International Category. Both have generous cash prizes, sponsored by the University of Newcastle and Dendy Cinemas. My role was to project manage the first two phases of the festival; Develop a Brand Identity and Advertise Entries. This included working with graphic designers to produce a logo, font and colours, along with promotional material such as posters. I designed the website myself and set up all the social media accounts, including filmfreeway. I have designed a marketing strategy that is currently in action as we are accepting entries. In the second half of 2024, I will be project managing phase two, three and four. This includes the screening process of the films, advertising ticket sales and running the event itself.
